Midwater Battery Storage is a project being developed by Spearmint Energy. Spearmint was launched by a team of American electric utility and energy industry veterans who were committed to bringing the benefits of battery energy storage to communities across the United States.

We develop, build, own, and operate battery storage facilities with a focus on safety and professionalism at every step of the process. As an American company, we are dedicated to working in partnership with landowners, local government, and communities as well as creating good paying jobs and economic growth right here at home.

 

Spearmint owns and operates a 150MW/300 MWh BESS and has more than 20 projects in development across 10 states. 

With offices in Edina, Minnesota and Miami, Florida, Spearmint works to reduce grid volatility, increase system resiliency and help reduce pollution in a responsible and efficient way.
